Dart game rules
Rather than waste time duplicating another dart rules page, this is a link to the most complete dart rules page on the internet. Included are over 45 different dart games from the basic to the bizarre. Use this link to access this page as needed.
Dart boards should be mounted securely so that there is no movement of the board during play. There should be a dart board cabinet or a back board to prevent damage to the wall from stray shots. A square of cork, ceiling tile or soft wood covered in carpet or fabric can be used or a commercially available dart board cabinet. Hard floors can damage dart tips from falling darts and soft wood or vinyl linoleum will receive many holes from these falling darts. A runner of carpet or a rubber dart mat should be used between the shooting line and dart board to avoid these problems. The area should be well lit and away from other people and traffic to avoid risk of injuries. Rotating or flipping the board on a regular basis increases its life and allows used side to heal.
